Who We Are
In 1949, with remnants of the Great Depression lingering in the minds of American workers, employees at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) needed a safe and reliable place to keep their money. Based on the philosophy of "people helping people", CDC Federal Credit Union was chartered on March 1, 1949, by these same employees. Members would democratically run the credit union making it a financial institution for the people, by the people.
We have since grown to over $400 million in assets and over 20,000 members. Our membership has expanded beyond the employees of the CDC, as we now serve those who live or work in portions of DeKalb, Fulton, or Gwinnett Counties. However, our core values remain the same. We empower our members to become financially independent by giving them access to lower loan rates and fewer fees, all while providing superior service.
Join today and see what the credit union movement is all about. We're building lifelong relationships, one member at a time!
