A miscalculation can happen to anyone. We've all had times in our lives when we forgot about a certain purchase or had a delay in our direct deposit. For those situations, be sure to connect your Savings Account to your Checking Account for Overdraft Protection. In the event you write a check or use your debit card for more than your available balance, we will transfer funds from one account to the other to cover the balance.
Courtesy Pay is a simple and convenient way to help ensure your checking and debit card transactions clear in the unlikely event your account balance runs low. Consider it a safety cushion or last line of defense when other sources of funds have been exhausted. Either way, it's there to help you avoid costly fees and the embarrassment of declined transactions.
If eligible and enrolled in the program, we will pay overdrafts at our discretion, meaning we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined. If we do authorize and pay an overdraft, you will be charged a fee of $35 for each transaction.
Transactions covered for Courtesy Pay count toward the $1,000 maximum coverage limit. Repayment of the overdraft amount is required within 30 days to maintain eligibility for this service. If you have additional overdraft items during this time, the account still must be brought to a positive balance on or before the 30th day from the date of the initial overdraft item.
